Ultrasonic welding machine

What is an ultrasonic tinning machine?

1. Basic principles of ultrasonic tinning

Ultrasonic tinning machine applies ultrasonic waves to tin liquid, which will produce high-frequency vibrations of more than 20,000 times per second and cause cavitation effects; once the metal workpieces that need surface tinning or soldering are immersed in the tin liquid, the oxide layer on the surface of the workpiece will be stripped off and the gap air will be precipitated, so that the tin liquid will be more evenly and firmly attached to the surface of the metal workpiece.

The tinning process does not require the use of flux, which improves the weldability and ductility of the metal; the workpiece parts that need to be tinned only need to be directly immersed in the tin bath for 3 to 10 seconds.

It is commonly used for surface treatment and welding of metal parts in the electronics, electrical, automotive, new energy and other industries, such as tinning or soldering of silver, copper, nickel, aluminum and other wire harnesses, tabs, and sheets.

2. Structure of Ultrasonic Tin Enameling Machine

The Ultrasonic Tin Enameling Machine is mainly composed of the main equipment (ultrasonic vibration system, tin bath, electric heating temperature control device) and ultrasonic generator, foot switch and other components; it is connected to 220V50Hz civil electricity.

3. Advantages of ultrasonic tinning machine

◆Green and environmentally friendly soldering solution

1) No flux is used during soldering, which effectively avoids the generation of harmful gases.

2) Eliminate the pre-cleaning process of the material surface and avoid the subsequent treatment of sewage and liquid.

◆Achieve perfect soldering

1) If flux is used during soldering, tiny pores will be generated inside the solder. If the process technology is not strictly controlled, cracks, peeling, cold soldering, ablation and other problems will occur during the use of the solder. However, in the ultrasonic tinning process, since no flux is used for welding, the vibration energy enables the solder to penetrate very small gaps, and no tiny bubbles and pores will be generated inside the solder, thereby achieving a dense combination of tin and the welding material body.

2) Avoid the corrosion of various fluxes that cause welding quality and affect the service life.

◆Save production costs and improve production efficiency

1) Break through the practical problem that aluminum is not easy to weld②. If aluminum can be used instead of expensive copper in products, the material cost of the enterprise can be greatly saved.

2) Since no flux is used for welding, the soldering process is simplified, and the production and processing efficiency and labor costs are improved.

◆Support the development of new materials and new products

1) It can successfully weld materials that are difficult to weld, such as glass, ceramics, and aluminum non-metallic materials, which is helpful for the development of new materials.

2) It is suitable for solar cell glass, semiconductors, and ceramic heaters, and is convenient for composite welding of dual materials (aluminum-copper, copper-glass, aluminum-glass, aluminum-ceramic), which is helpful for the development of new products.
